whatever you did file wise has nothing to do with it sometimes you can connect sometimes you cannot. the connection to rockstar services has nothing to do with any files on your PC. the fact you deleted files and restored them and your issues resolved, is pure coincidence.
its issues logging into rockstar servers. Load Story mode and loaded online right away from story mode. Then copy the prior save file in my case of SGTA50015 and SGTA50015.bak being the last save file, I had to copy these two files SGTA50013 and SGTA50013 the prior game files into the folder. Then delete all files in the orignal location, but cfg and pc_settings. Copy the C:\Users\Gamer\Documents\Rockstar Games\GTA V\Profiles\85E4060E folder to desktop. I was turning off firewalls and antivirus, clearing cache, and you name it.
